Creative Combo
Combination classes are a great way to introduce Ballet & Tap to young children. We follow a syllabus to ready them for moving into traditional style classes.
Princess Dance
Princess Dance is a monthly themed class for the young dancer to begin learning ballet steps, terminology & dance class etiquette! The end of each month, the students can dress up & perform for their parents!
Ballet
Ballet is the foundation of dance, and is an important part of a dancer's training. It teaches grace, proper alignment, musicality, flexibility, body-awareness, as well as a multitude of other skills that will enhance a dancer's abilities.
Pointe
This class has the same structure as Ballet Technique, specifically concentrating on pointe work. Emphasis on barre work preparing for center floor. Students enrolled in this class are required to take Ballet Technique
Jazz
A contemporary, lyrical modern jazz style class with center warmup and technique exercises, additional floor stretch and conditioning. Diagonal work for turns, jumps and jazz style linking steps.
A dance combination is taught at the end of class geared towards the level of each class.
Contemporary
With an eclectic yet accessible mix of Release, Modern, Ballet and Jazz, Contemporary is a class that includes a rigorous warm up followed by a multileveled combination. Instructed to music that varies from reggaeton to classical, "Contemporary" may inspire you to find your own style of motion and enable what dance is designed to support...your expression.
Lyrical
Lyrical dance is similarly oriented toward the dancer's emotional responses rather than to an underlying formal choreographic structure. While a choreographic structure often exists, it serves more as a general guide than as a prescription for specific dance moves that, once mastered, will be highly similar from one performance to the next.
Tap
Tap dancing is a blend of syncopated rhythm which emphasizes footwork and the expression of rhythm through sound. All classes work on basic tap skills, progressing through tap steps, combinations and eventually dance
Stretch
This Class helps improve flexibility (increases your range of motion)
It will also assist in correct posture by lengthening tight muscles that pull areas of the body away from their intended position.
Potential to decrease injury by preparing muscles for work before activity and
increases blood and nutrient supply to muscles, thereby possibly reducing muscle soreness
Equipment needed:
Stretch blocks *an example you do not have to buy this brand
Hip-Hop
This street style of jazz appeals to students because of popular music and the highly energetic and funky dance moves. A definite fun cardio workout! A great class for the recreational dancer of all ages.
Leaps & Turns
Fusion
This class will work on the very basics in leaps & turns. (Will progress to more advanced leaps & turns as the year goes on) Strongly recommended for dancers struggling with certain dance skills.
This class is a combination of styles taught in a fun/positive environment for the Beg/Int to Int/Adv dancer.
